Advice, Information & Support over Christmas
Throughout the holiday season, there are a number of other ways to get advice, information and support for you and your family:
Bank Holidays over this period are December Monday 26th, Tuesday 27th and Monday January 2nd
Some Sutton Warm Spaces
Belmont Connect will be offering a Warm welcome over the winter during their Drop In sessions, with warm drinks, snacks and free wifi. Outside of these times you can find warm spaces at all the Sutton Libraries (check the opening times for your local library here). Other organisations in Sutton (e.g. churches) are also setting up warm spaces/sessions which can be found on this map.
If you need urgent assistance regarding caring for someone, including safeguarding or covering care for an adult or child, please contact the London Borough of Sutton 24-hour Duty team via 020 8770 5000.
In an emergency, please always call 999, and for health advice, call 111 or speak to your pharmacist or GP.
National, Carer-specific support:

Carers UK Helpline 0808 808 7777 - 9am-6pm Monday to Friday (including Christmas Eve, Bank Holiday Monday and New Year's Eve). Their email advice service (advice@carersuk.org) will be available with a reduced service from 21-23 December, and will be closed 24 December to 3 January.

For Information and Advice during the holiday period please call 020 8254 2616 or complete the web form on the Together for Sutton website www.togetherforsutton.org.uk. Submissions will be monitored by our colleagues at Citizens Advice Sutton. This service will close at 12.pm on December 23rd and then be closed on Bank Holidays. A telephone service will operate on 28th, 29th and 30th December 2022 and will re-open for normal services on the 4th of January 2023.

Citizens Advice Sutton will be closed from 12pm on Friday 23rd December for in person and phone contact until 9am on Tuesday 3rd January. During this period, urgent issues about welfare and benefits, housing, access to emergency food provision or care, for example, will be monitored via their web message form.

If, sadly, you have been bereaved, then please contact Cruse Bereavement Care. They are a charity dedicated to helping people who are experiencing grief. You can contact them through their main helpline on 0808 808 1677. Please note that the helpline will be open every day across the Christmas period, with alternating opening hours that can be found here.
