Policy Group (first meeting)

This Policy Group brings together anyone passionate about shaping public policy that affects Carers — from welfare benefits and social care to housing, employment, and beyond. Our purpose is simple but powerful: to make sure the voices of Carers are heard clearly by local and national decision‑makers whose choices directly impact their lives.

We'll combine practical, technical expertise on issues like benefits and housing with the real, lived experience of Carers. By bringing these perspectives together, we aim to influence policy in ways that genuinely improve life for Carers and their families.

The Policy Group is Carer led with Carers setting the agenda for the meetings and prioritising the actions that follow from those meetings.
