Young Carers Space 14+

This is your space if you are a Young Carer aged 14 to 17 years old.

Never thought about yourself as a YC before?  Don't worry, you're not the only one!  Plus there are benefits of having your role recognised, especially if there are constraints on your education or social life.  It's never too late to get involved...

We run activities such as:

  • Peer Support Groups

  • ‘Chill & Learn’ Homework Club

  • 1-1 Support

  • Games Nights

  • Anime Antics - Anime Movie Nights

  • Rap Therapy Workshops

  • Step Towards My Independence – (independence building working involving cooking and other activities)

  • Young Carers Action Day

  • Young Carers Ambassadors

Are you a Young Carer?

Whether you are new to being a Young Carer or maybe it's all you've ever known... there are so many ways you can get involved! 

To get registered:

  • Get a parent or guardian to complete a referral form for you

  • Any professional working with you or your family, e.g. a social worker or teacher, can complete our referral form

  • OR, you can click the button and refer yourself!

We support Young Carers from the age of 8 with term-time & holiday activities and support, and Young Adult Carers 18+ with tailored services and support.  Skip to YC 8+ zone or 18+ page.

    Disney & Desserts is a movie afternoon where Young Carers get to enjoy a Disney or Disney + feature. Age Dependant on feature. Come along and enjoy a film with sweet treats, popcorn and other bits.

    Young Carers get the opportunity to express themselves through the magic of comics and character development. Great for budding artists. We learn how to create 4 page comics and how to use digital art software Procreate through activities, games and most of all drawing.
