Carers Week 2026 takes place from 8–14 June, bringing communities across the UK together under the theme Building Carer Friendly Communities.

This national awareness campaign shines a spotlight on the crucial role unpaid Carers play and the need for greater recognition, support and understanding - locally and nationally.

Get involved! Whether you participate online, or take part in activities at SCC, your involvement helps to make a difference.

During Carers Week, in-person and online events will be taking place right across the country; offering Carers the opportunity to find out helpful information, connect with local support, and take time out from their caring role. Carers Week also supports Carers, community members, politicians, employers and professionals across education, health, and social care, to back the call for greater equality for Carers.
