Reflecting on an Incredible Carers Week 2026 💙

WOW! What a fantastic Carers Week we had! 🎉

Looking back over the week, we're filled with pride, gratitude, and so many wonderful memories. Carers Week 2026 gave us the opportunity to come together as a community, celebrate the incredible contribution of Unpaid Carers, and create moments of joy, connection and recognition for the people who dedicate so much of themselves to caring for others.

It was a week packed full of activities, laughter and unforgettable experiences. From trips to Brighton 🌊 and a special lunch with the Mayor, to community celebrations, wellbeing sessions, talent shows and everything in between, we really did it all!

Throughout the week we welcomed familiar faces alongside many new ones, and it was lovely to see both Young Carers and Adult Carers coming together, making new connections and taking a well-deserved break from their caring responsibilities. 💙

Whether someone joined us for a relaxing wellbeing activity, a peer support session, a creative workshop or simply popped in for a chat, every moment reminded us why Carers Week is so important.

It shines a spotlight on the incredible resilience, compassion and strength shown by Unpaid Carers every single day.

At Sutton Carers Centre, our commitment to supporting Unpaid Carers continues long after Carers Week ends. Throughout the year, we provide meaningful support, opportunities to connect, practical advice, wellbeing activities, respite opportunities and a welcoming community where Young Carers, Adult Carers and their families know they are seen, heard and valued.

To every Unpaid Carer who joined us during Carers Week — thank you. 💙 Thank you for sharing your stories, your smiles and your time with us.

To everyone who helped organise activities, volunteered, partnered with us, or supported the week's events in any way, we are incredibly grateful. Your generosity and enthusiasm helped make this year's celebrations so special.
