Finding Care

Information correct as at September 2025

You may be seeking care for a number of reasons: Deterioration in health (your or the person you care for); to respite care to cover a period when you will not be available; or as an addition to the care you provide, either for specialist care, to cover while you work or take a break, or care workers to provide homecare to assist someone with their needs at home which allows people to remain in their home and enables some independence.

Finding care

Sutton Care Directory â€¯lists local care homes and agencies, including those that offer homevisit support.

The directory is also available as a brochure so please call Sutton Carers Centre on 0208 296 5611 if you would like a copy sent to you.

Lottie's Care Finding Service is a free, online service: Contact: hello@lottie.org or phone 03300242818

You might also find it helpful to chat to other Carers about their experiences of local care homes, for example by coming along to a support group or Carers Connect on a Thursday morning.   Find out more on our Support Groups page.

Funding care

Care may be self-funded or assisted through the local authority depending on the finances of the person who requires care.   If you are â€‹unsure or concerned about costs, you can get a Financial Assessment through the local authority following a care needs assessment being carried out.

You can view information and watch a video on LB Sutton financial assessments here.
