Celebrating our amazing volunteers

At Sutton Carers Centre, we know that volunteers are at the heart of so much of what we do. Their generosity, compassion and commitment help us make a real difference to unpaid Carers and their families across Sutton.

That’s why we were absolutely delighted to nominate three of our longest-serving volunteers for the inaugural Sutton Volunteer Recognition Awards, hosted by Volunteer Centre Sutton at Sutton Central Library on 8 October 2026.

The event celebrated 58 outstanding volunteers from organisations across the borough, recognising the invaluable contribution they make to local communities. It was a wonderful occasion, highlighting the positive impact of volunteering and giving well-deserved recognition to those who dedicate their time to helping others. Mayor of Sutton, Cllr Muhammad Sadiq, presented certificates to each nominee in recognition of their dedication and service.

We are incredibly proud of our three nominees and grateful for the many years they have devoted to supporting unpaid Carers. Their kindness, skills and enthusiasm help create a welcoming and supportive environment for the people who use our services, and their contribution cannot be overstated - they really are part of the team!

To all our volunteers, thank you. Your time, energy and commitment make a lasting difference, and we are so fortunate to have you as part of the Sutton Carers Centre family.

We would also like to extend our thanks to Volunteer Centre Sutton for organising such a wonderful event and for shining a light on the incredible volunteers who do so much to strengthen our community. Their contribution deserves to be celebrated, not just on special occasions, but every day of the year.

Our volunteers help with all aspects of our work.  If you are interested in joining our team, find out more here.
