Review of local pharmacy services

The Health and Wellbeing Board carries out a review of pharmacy services in the borough every three years, in order to understand what is working well and ensure pharmacies meet the health and wellbeing needs of local people. The result of this review is a report called the Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment (PNA).

The PNA looks at the current and future needs for pharmacy services. This document is aimed at health professionals and organisations to help them decide when and where pharmacies might be needed, and how current services could be improved. It also includes feedback from residents who took part in an earlier survey, which asked about the public experience using local pharmacies and accessing their services.

We are consulting on the Draft PNA document and would like to hear your views about this assessment and its conclusions.  Your feedback on the Draft PNA will help us ensure that services meet the health needs of local pharmacy users, now and in the future.

Please read the Draft PNA document in full, then tell us your views by completing the online survey before 7th September 2025.

Access the draft document and survey here.
