Christmas is different for everyone. It can be a lovely time when family and friends get together, but it can also be a time of isolation and loneliness.
If you are caring over the Christmas period, use this post to find out about resources and activities going on over the festive period.
SCC will be closed on Tuesday December 24th and will re-open on Thursday January 2nd 2025.

Carers Trust Carol Concert December 10th

Experience a wonderfully festive evening at Carers Trust Christmas Carol Concert, featuring Imelda Staunton, renowned for her unforgettable portrayal of Dolores Umbridge in Harry Potter, who will share a personally selected festive reading.
The evening includes mulled wine, mince pies, your favourite carols, a performance by award-winning soprano Margaret Keys, and readings from Greg Wise and Angela Rippon.
Book here and gain a Carers 50% discount for Tuesday 10th December at St Paul’s Church, Knightsbridge and a memorable night of festive celebration all in support of Carers. Doors open at 5.30pm, starting at 6pm.

Dementia Friendly Festive Activities
Tuesday Club Christmas Party December 17th

The Tuesday Club at Carshalton Methodist Church are hosting their Christmas party for people living with dementia and memory loss and their Carers. There will be games, music, refreshments and a raffle.

Dementia Friendly Carol Service December 19th

What to Expect - This gentle service will include well-loved carols, familiar readings, and calming music in a welcoming, dementia-sensitive environment. It’s an opportunity for people with dementia and their families to celebrate the festive season together in a relaxed setting. Refreshments will be served after the service, allowing everyone to connect.
Accessibility - St Nicholas Church has step-free access throughout the main area. However, please keep in mind that there are steps leading to the toilet.

Fantastic Freddie Christmas Club Night - December 18th

Fantastic Freddie Foundation are hosting a Christmas Club Night in a fully accessible venue with an accessible photo booth, plenty of disabled parking ,a bar and DJ.
The fun is happening at the VBS Community Stadium Gander Green Lane, Sutton,SM1 2EY between 7pm-11pm.
