There are more than 2,000 people living with dementia in Sutton and this figure is predicted to increase 40% by 2040.
Sutton Council and partners, including Sutton Carers Centre, Age UK Sutton and the NHS, have set out a five-year plan that will focus on supporting Sutton residents at risk of dementia, raising awareness of dementia as well as providing ongoing support to those with a diagnosis and their Carers throughout their dementia journey.
You can read the draft Dementia Strategy on the Council’s website here.
As part of the Strategy, Sutton’s Admiral Nurses and Age UK Sutton will also support residents and Carers at the new Dementia Hub.
