Last week Matt and Julia went on a fantastic residential at the beautiful Royal Foundation of St Katharine with @JackPetcheyFoundation for their internship launch conference! It was an opportunity to get to know other interns from youth programmes across London and gain a better understanding of how the Jack Petchey Foundation can help support young people's dreams. They both learnt so much from all the amazing people and interactive activities whilst there and had some delicious food to go with it.

The workshops we did were incredible with @2_3Degrees and Inspirational Youth, as well hearing from some very inspirational guest speakers, including previous interns and Femi from @XLPlondon. They did many team-building exercises including a race to build a lego car in which they won! It was great to connect to so many other organisations and build relationships that open up doors for collaboration in the future.

One thing that really stood out to them was using time wisely. At the end of the day, Matt's internship is only a year and he's already a month in! Time flies when you're having fun so making the most of it is super important. The JP Foundation taught so many useful skills and lessons on making the most of your time and it's something that we at SCC look forward to bringing into our practice. We are so honoured to be part of this programme and cannot wait to see what the future holds!
