As you may be aware, the Timms Review, led by Sir Stephen Timms, has been launched to evaluate the Personal Independence Payment (PIP) assessment system. The review follows from the government dropping proposals last year, to change the criteria for PIP to make it harder to qualify.
The review is inviting evidence from the public between 19 March and 28 May 2026.
Anyone with lived or learned experience of PIP - including disabled people, Carers, clinicians, and elected representatives - is encouraged to share their views.
Your experiences matter!
Citizens Advice Sutton, Sutton Carers Centre and some local Carers have joined forces to gather evidence from people affected by PIP in our borough, so that we can submit a strong, collective response on your behalf.
The time to respond is tight, so please complete the survey by the 18 May 2026. We also will be sharing your feedback with national bodies like Carers Trust to add to their responses, too. You do not have to give your name unless you want to.
By completing the short survey linked below, you will help ensure that the real experiences of Carers and the people they support are clearly represented in this national review.
Your contribution could help influence future changes and improvements to the PIP system, so share your views now!
Thank you for taking the time to share your views - your voice is important.
If you or the person you care for would like information, advice or support to complete the survey, or about any other matter, please do not hesitate to contact us and we will do our best to help.
