C&S Young Citizen Award Ceremony

🌟Julia (Senior Young Carers Service Manager) and Marcel (Young Carers Engagement & Support Worker) had the pleasure of attending the Cheam and Sutton Rotary Young Citizen Award Ceremony — a truly warm, wholesome, and inspiring evening celebrating the incredible achievements of young people across our community 💙

It was amazing to see our Young Carers recognised alongside so many other vibrant and dedicated young people, including local cadets, young commissioners, and other inspiring nominees who continue to make a positive difference in the lives of others. The atmosphere throughout the evening was filled with encouragement, pride, and appreciation, reminding everyone in the room just how powerful young people can be when given the opportunity to shine ✨

Each nominee had their own unique story of resilience, compassion, leadership, or perseverance. Whether they had overcome personal challenges, supported family members and friends, volunteered within their communities, or shown exceptional dedication in their chosen areas, every young person was celebrated with genuine respect and admiration 👏

Events like this are so important because they highlight the strength, kindness, and determination that often goes unseen in everyday life. Seeing every nominee appreciated for their efforts and achievements was incredibly moving, and we are so proud of all the young people who were recognised during the ceremony 🌈
